What's New?

• 14th April 2007: I have actually decided to keep a weblog for more than a couple of months.

• 28th October 2006: I think the guestbooks are working again. They are once more off site, so we'll see how this one goes.

• 30th March 2005: I have been good and tried to keep the Misc directory more up to date lately But, apart from that I have also added a new page for my more modern but still very occasional general writing.

• 14th September 2004: I have replaced the old poor quality songs, Little Red Monkey and Do-Wacka-Do with MP3 versions for now. If anyone wants to tell me off then I guess I could remove them but I think the first one is certainly out of copyright and the seconds needs more airing anyway!

• 14th April 2004: I have popped my pictures of myself into a gallery of their own, so the new link is http://www.uknet.com/gallery/mjl-pics

• 9th April 2004: I have been very slack recently, so I did a whole bunch of changes at once. I have finally bought the Misc directory up to date and I have started using the gallery for a few more things. The biggest change is that my friends page has been turned into a gallery, the 55 word fiction page has completely changed format at http://55-fiction.org/ and my animation art has done the same at http://animationart.org/ - I have started my computer museum page on http://ancientcomputers.com/ as well and will hopefully keep it up to date. I have also split away the new British Food Page at http://food.uknet.com/.

• 18th July 2003: Apart from the usual updates to the Misc directory, I have also added a section to the main page containing some of my rants, lest anyone be interested. I have also added my "rules for dating me" to the about-me page which are, incidentally, meant to be humourous.

• 25th March 2003: Nothing much new, except I have finally updated the indexes on the Misc directory again.

• 16th December 2002: A few more things added to the Misc directory, popped a few more dead things into the Misc/Deadthings area and I have split all of the 55 Word Short Stories to http://55-fiction.org/.

• 1st November 2002: Although not really part of this page, I have added a link to my Risk and Security Training pages.

• 3rd August 2002: Mostly, I have been adding things to the Misc directory's dated section. The only non-obvious changes may be the addition of a Zola Budd pictures directory, and some addiitions to Watches and Knives. There are also some more additions to mjl-pics as well, but not many.

• 12th May 2002: I added a new page for what hopefully will be an increasing collection of 55 word short stories. Also did some fairly hefty editing on the Poems and Scribbles page, putting each of the poems into its own page.

• 10th May 2002: Slowly but surely I am converting some of the text files to HTML - So far I have done Field of Dreams and The Pixie Document.

• 7th May 2002: The original purple landrover background which I made on the 21st of May 1995 has finally been replaced with a slightly softer and more lilac version of the same picture. I left the webpage history page with the old bakground, it seemed fitting.

• 3rd May 2002: Added a couple more sets of garden and village photos into the Misc directory as 20020501-outside and 20020503-darkoutside.

• 30th April 2002: By popular request from people who like to see me hurt, I have added the Michael vs. Black Cat page. I have also added a couple of new pictures to mjl-pics and changed the format of that page too.

• 24th April 2002: Added the tribute page to Cassandra.

• 22nd April 2002: I have fixed quite a lot of the front page so hopefully there aren't any bad links any more. I have also added a guest book again mainly because I am interested where some people are coming from. There's not a lot new on the page, but there have been a few new things added to the Misc directory. I have also changed things slightly so that external links now go into a new window; I am not sure how well this will work and I have a personal hatred for popups so if it's really bad erm, well I dunno... Sulk at me!

• 18th November 2001: Whilst tidying up one of my piles of crap, I found an old notepad with one of my favourite poems in that for some reason I hadn't put on my page so, I added Cattle Train. I also found one called Slugs but that one is a bit boring. I also added a couple more bits to the poems page in general.

• 26th October 2001: Added a new knife and sword section into Misc. I shall probably add to this occasionally if I remember.

• 19th October 2001: Updated the Car Pictures a wee bit. Added quite a bit to the Misc directory which is indexed in here.

• 14th October 2001: Did quite a big rehash on my animationart pages.

• 10th October 2001: For now, the Sheep and Woolly Resource pages of baa.net are living on the Truck Stop page.

• 20th July 2001: Found an old picture of me and Toerag which I popped onto the pictures of me page. Also added some new picture sets to the Misc section: Live sex shows in the garden, garden cat and people pics, some more garden and cat pics and some not very interesting watch pictures.

• 4th July 2001: Got some new image making software to try, so I knocked together some pictures of the garden. I also did the Computer Museum with this to see what it would look like.

• 28th June 2001: A few changes the last couple of months. Webmagick is broken so some of the picture pages look a bit sparse (which is probably good!) but hopefully Christiaan will mend it soon and it will be fixed.
  Today, I added the Stephen Hawking Chat Up Line page and earlier this month, I added a section for my Computer Museum - Though it's by no means finished.

• 3rd March 2001: Lots of changes that I didn't keep up to date with as usual, so here's a basic summary:
  Misc/20010128/ : Some old pictures from Whipsnade and some old pictures of me, Clo, Lucy, Tilly and Custard.
  Misc/20010130/ : Pictures of an Ames 1862 Cavalry Sabre, some very dodgy pictures of me, and one of Tilly.
  Misc/20010214/ : Some various house art bits.
  Misc/20010225/ : Some pictures of snow. We don't get so much snow in late Feb and I figured it was pretty.
  Misc/Animationart/ : Added quite a bit to the Animation Art directory and moved it elsewhere.

• 9th December 2000: Well, I added some Cayman pics on Misc/Cayman/2000/ but not the underwater ones yet (they should be good). I am slowly changing the format of the ancient 1995 scrapbook to be more original in scrapbook/new/. Ok, so it's still spoddy but it's better than nothing and at least these are all originals and signed.

• 8th August 2000: Lots of changes now, so best to list them generally. I merged all of my sites into one, on a new machine, so there may be bits missing for a while. I spent a bit of time rejigging the About Me pages basically adding a section on animation art and also adding a section on things I like and dislike that I figured would keep me amused for a while. I popped a picture of my new Audi A8 into the Cars directory and I have sort of started keeping the external part of this site http://pageoftheday.com/ more up to date as well. There is quite a bit of new stuff in the Misc directory, in summary...
  19991011 : Some black and white photos of Amy and some old stuff I was developing.
  19991210 : My "darkroom", Tidying the garage and my sister Custard and Mr Custard.
  20000106 : No idea, but Amy looks odd with long hair now. The later pics are my new experiment into creating intelligent life.
  20000114 : A random assortment. The breasts are Rachel's by the way...
  20000422 : Loads of things. My office looking tidy, various Amy pictures, the GB meet, pics of Ian and Jen, pics of the Isle of Wight and finally documentary proof that I didn't actually kill the bastard cat that attacked me, I merely deported it across a few hundred miles and a stretch of sea...
  20000520 : Amy's new kittens and some bits of animation art.
  20000526 : Lara Croft, terrorising my office.
  20000606 : My new mobile phone. I have a bit of time free at the moment so I will probably make a few more changes, I am going to update the scrapbook with new pictures and some new faces soon that should keep me amused for a while!

• 18th July 1999: Started work on a page about some of the photos and cameras I use at http://www.lorry.org/aboutphotos.html

• 14th July 1999: I have created a new page specially for my page of the day section at http://pageoftheday.com/.
• 8th July 1999: Only temporary until I get them sorted, but there are some more Cayman (and other) pictures on http://www.lorry.org/misc/Misc/Unsorted/
• 4th July 1999: Put Amy's Cayman pictures into the /Misc/Cayman/1999-amys/ archive.
• 4th July 1999: Popped a few new pictures on http://www.lorry.org/mjl-pics/, and completely re-organised that directory too. I shall put some more Diving/Freediving/Cayman pictures up soonish.
• 28th May 1999: I decided I may as well link in the article I wrote on the history of UK IRC and the #GB channel. It is at: http://www.lorry.org/gb-lorry.html
• 19th April 1999: Added a couple of pictures to http://www.lorry.org/mjl-pics/. (Odd, where are all these pictures of me coming from!).
• 17th March 1999: I found an old archive of Stonenehenge pictures and popped them in Stonehenge-1997 - There's also some new pictures of me in http://www.lorry.org/mjl-pics/.

• 17th March 1999: To prove that in a past life I was probably a squirrel, I photographed some of my collection of old British Micros. Have a look at http://www.lorry.org/misc/Museum/

• 16th March 1999: Quite a few changes of late, and I have been lapse in keeping this up to date now I have this cute new front end on 'misc' but, things of interest are: 19990222 with some junk (and a tidy lounge) in. The stuff in Deadthings, you may well want to avoid since it is things that white cat keeps bringing into my bathroom. Joshbook is a scan of a couple of pages about me in some Internet book. Rachel made me put some pictures up for her too.

• 14th February 1999: What a way to spend Valentines Day! - Spent hours and hours getting "Webmagick" working to organise and add thumbnails to the http://www.lorry.org/misc/ directory. I have reorganised the lot, so some of the links on this page may no longer work. I shall change as many as I can spot.

• 13th February 1999: Playing with a new digital camera (Olympus 1000L) produced far too many new pictures in:
  19990204 , 19990206 , 19990210 and 19990213. There is quite a cute new house tour in House-bits.
